Bili CDN Probe · Effective July 28, 2026

Bili CDN Probe processes Bilibili media URLs and CDN host names only after the user accepts the in-extension disclosure. Settings and probe results stay on the user's device. The extension has no analytics, advertising, or developer-operated data collection server.

Information processed

The extension may process:

It does not read passwords, payment information, personal communications, browser cookies, or general browsing history.

Purpose

This information is used only to obtain a media sample, send partial HTTPS byte-range requests to listed CDN hosts, compare performance, show results, and route eligible Bilibili media requests to a compatible host selected by the extension.

Network requests

Core probes contact Bilibili pages and *.bilivideo.com. Optional Full diagnostic mode requests separate browser permission before contacting *.bilivideo.cn, *.bilivideo.net, or *.akamaized.net.

A probe preserves the sample media path and query string while replacing the CDN host. The receiving host therefore receives the HTTPS request metadata, media path, and query values needed to answer the partial-range request. No information is sent to the extension developer.

Local storage and retention

Settings and results are stored in chrome.storage.local and remain until overwritten, cleared through Chrome, or removed when the extension is uninstalled. They are not synced or uploaded by the extension.

User controls

Data sharing and limited use

The extension does not sell user data or use it for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes. Its use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security and changes

Network requests use HTTPS, and the extension does not download or execute remote code. Material changes to data handling will be disclosed in the extension before changed processing begins.
